- is easier to break down (as the byproducts - water and oxygen - are known to be environmentally safe)...
...compared to the "conventional method" using formaldehyde.
However, the spectrum of microbial eradication is highly comprehensive - viruses, prions, fungi, vegetative and atypical bacteria, bacteriophages, and more, all succumb to the gas mixture. And all this can be achieved with minimal technical requirements.
