Air Showers

To prevent the entry or transmission of dust particles into cleanrooms by entering personnel, air showers or personnel airlocks are used.

The personnel are subjected to an effective air shower individually to largely avoid the transfer of dust particles.

Our air showers are:

  • made of stainless steel or coated aluminum.
  • suitable for cleanrooms of all purity classes.
  • modularly designed on request, so they can also be used as material airlocks.

How does an air shower work?

  1. After the person has entered the airlock, the doors lock.
  2. The fan is turned on and clean air with high speed and strong impulse is blown through the nozzles and the air duct.
  3. The airflow that covers the entire surface of the cleanroom clothing removes dust particles and aerosols and transports them into the filter system.
  4. In the filter system, the air is cleaned and flows back into the chamber.
  5. After the program is finished, the exit door unlocks and the person is allowed to enter the cleanroom.
